Acting For Others presents...
In 2022, I had the privilege of producing Acting for Others presents…, a podcast that pairs up the UK’s brightest stage and screen stars for honest, intimate conversations about theatre, life, and everything in between. This project holds a special place for me – not only as a producer, but as someone passionate about supporting theatre workers across the country.
Acting for Others is a UK charity providing emotional and financial support to theatre workers in times of need. The podcast aimed to raise awareness and funds for this vital cause.
The idea behind the podcast was simple: bring together well-known names from theatre and screen to talk about their passion for the stage, the art of storytelling, their triumphs and trials, loves and losses, and everything in between. As producer, I oversaw guest booking, shaped the structure of each episode, and managed production timelines, working closely with executive producer Kevin Mundye.
The team behind the podcast was incredible. Kevin Mundye was our executive producer, with myself as producer. The music was composed by Dan Gillespie Sells, artwork created by Ollie at Feast, and editing was handled by Scott and Matt at Podmonkey. It was produced by Simple Beast.
The first six episodes dropped weekly from Tuesday, 11th October 2022, and all revenue generated went directly to support UK theatre workers in financial need. Producing this series was a genuine highlight – hearing these intimate, often funny and moving conversations reminded me why storytelling and theatre matter so deeply.
Supporting Acting for Others remains hugely important to me. If you’re interested in collaborating on similar projects like the Acting for Others podcast or discussing podcast production opportunities, I’d love to hear from you.
